Uniq Technology is a family run business and has been established for over 20 years. The core ethos of the business is to provide a professional and friendly support service for your IT infrastructure. We’re a people company and most importantly we’re not sales orientated, meaning the advice we give to our customers is always based on finding the best solution for your needs.

Investing in people

Uniq technology invest in their staff. Our team our working towards their certification exams and we regularly attend industry training events to make sure we’re all fully up to date with emerging security threats and product updates. Our staff are experts in their field, but it’s not all work, we encourage them to develop interests outside of work both personally and professionally.

First class service

Uniq Technology believe in the service they provide. That’s why we don’t tie our customers into long contacts. If you don’t like what we do you or are not entirely happy with any aspect of our service you’re free to go elsewhere. It keeps us on our toes too, we make sure that we consistently deliver a first class service.

Fixed price

One thing that sets us apart from the competition is our fixed price support agreements covering all your IT support costs. There’s no limit on the hours that you can use, call us as much or as little as you need to. If you need onsite support, that’s included too. It really is a fixed price service.

Long term relations

We are YOUR support department. As a people focused organisation, we’re not here to make IT over complicated. Your team want IT that works, it’s our job to deliver that in a non technical way. Our best customers are the ones we build long term relationships with, we really are an extension of their company, and they think of us as being their in-house IT.


Ian Walton
Founder / Director

Ian is the owner and director at Uniq having set the company up in a time before he had grey hair. Ian is still here pushing his team to provide first class support and managing the implementation projects for our customers. When not working Ian loves to cook, especially outside. Despite trying hard to develop a culinary repertoire he always cooks the same three dishes. Fact: Ian has no resistance to the hot sandwiches served in the café across the road.

Katie Walton
People and Finance Director

Katie is the co-owner of Uniq. She manages the finances of the company, and in her spare time volunteers with Girl Guiding and the village community. Fact: She can often be seen being dragged around the village by her Golden Retriever.

Joshua Christians
Project & Systems Manager

After a year as Helpdesk Manager, Josh now takes on the Project & Systems Manger role. He has over 12 years’ experience across wide range of areas including support, IT management, project deliveries and networking. Josh is responsible for maintaining our backend systems and reporting and managing our projects. He will be helping to train the junior members of our support team as well as engaging with our customers to resolve the more challenging support issues. Fact: Josh likes football, but we won’t hold that against him.

Kyle Moody
Helpdesk Manager

After a very successful first year with Uniq Kyle has been promoted to Helpdesk Manager. He has over 8 years’ experience across a wide range of areas including IT Support, management, project delivery and Microsoft 365 technologies. Kyle will be managing our helpdesk team as well as helping our customers resolve the more challenging support issues. Fact: Kyle is a keen fisherman and can be found on the beach looking for his next great catch.

George Ludlam
Help Desk Engineer

While we weren’t looking George joined us in July 2022 as our first Apprentice Support Engineer looking to start his career in technology. When he is not in the office, he will be found on the golf course beating everyone who is crazy enough to have a round of golf with him. George loved working at Uniq so much he dragged his friend JD along to join us.
Fact: We suspect George’s golf handicap of 5 is actually a lot lower #bandit

Joshua Nicholson
Help Desk Engineer

A friend of George, Joshua joined Uniq in August 2022 as an Apprentice Support Engineer and quickly learnt everything about our support operations. He’s known as “JD” and is always willing to go the extra mile to ensure our customers are happy, which fits nicely into our customer support values.
Fact: JD ‘s a night owl, so we try and avoid disturbing him before 11am.

Prakash Patel
Help Desk Engineer

Prakash joins Uniq having spent time working as part of an internal IT team. He works out of our Leicester office supporting one of our customer accounts in that location.
Fact: Prakash is a keen volleyball player, so maybe we’ll create the Top Gun volleyball scene this summer!
